Call to Order

The Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Huron-Kinloss will be called to Order at 7:00 p.m. on June 17, 2024 in the Council Chambers.

Adoption of Minutes

• Motion

  THAT the minutes of the Council meeting of May 22, 2024 and the Committee of the Whole of meeting June 3, 2024 be adopted as presented.

Financial Reports

Previous Month Actual Accounts – May 2024, TRE-2024-06-38

• Motion

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby ratifies and confirms payment of the May 2024 accounts in the amount of $ 1,987,702.11.

4.2

Revenue and Expenditure Reports to May 31, 2024, TRE-2024-06-37

• Motion

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby reviews and receives the summary revenue and expenditure reports to May 31, 2024 prepared by Christine Heinisch, Treasurer.

4.3

Accounts June 2024, TRE-2024-06-39

• Motion

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby authorizes payment of the June 2024 accounts in the amount of $495,927.40.

• Motion

  THAT the  " McEwan Municipal Drain Repair By-law" be deemed to be read a first, second, third time and finally passed and numbered as By-law No. 2024-59.

• Motion

  THAT the  "Ripley Fire Hall Use Memorandum of Understanding  - Ontario Provincial Police By-law" be deemed to be read a first, second, third time and finally passed and numbered as By-law No. 2024-60.

Closed Session

• Motion

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council move into closed meeting at [time] for the purpose of considering;

  1) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose (legal advice);

  2) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality (property matter);

  pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended;

  AND FURTHER THAT Council return to regular open meeting upon completion.
