Call to Order

The Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Huron-Kinloss will be called to Order at 7:00 p.m. on April 8, 2024 in the Council Chambers.

Adoption of Minutes

• Motion

  THAT the minutes of the Council meeting of March 18, 2024 be adopted as presented.

Public Meetings Required Under the Planning Act

• Motion

4.1

Z-2024-010 Morrison

The purpose of the application is to is to amend the Zoning By-law. It is proposed to permit additional On-Farm Diversified uses for a maximum of three (3) farm vacation cabins, each with a maximum ground floor area of 56 square meters (m2) and a Nanobrewery.

If approved, the application would facilitate additional permitted uses for an existing On-Farm Diversified  Use.

The subject property is located East of Lucknow, East of Paradise Lake St., and on the North side of Bruce Road 86. 

The Planner will explain the report and recommendation. Any comments received from Agencies and the Public received by the time of writing the report are in the written report.

The applicant may provide comment on the application.

Presentations from the Public
Any person or public body that has comments on the application will be heard.

Questions and Clarifications from Council
The Members of Council may question and make clarification on the application. 

• Motion

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council approve the planning application Z-2023 - 010  Morrison;
  
  AND FURTHER THAT the Staff bring forward the appropriate By-law at the next meeting of Council. 

4.2

Community Improvement Plan Amendment, BED-2024-04-10

The purpose of this public meeting is to fulfil the statutory requirements for a public meeting to consider the designation of the whole or any part of an area covered by an Official Plan as a Community Improvement Project area,  and to consider the adoption of a community improvement plan for a Community Improvement Project area.  

Staff will explain the report and recommendation. Any comments received from Agencies and the Public received by the time of writing the report are in the written report.

Presentations from the Public
Any person or public body that has comments on the proposed community improvement plan will be heard.

Questions and Clarifications from Council
The Members of Council may question and make clarification on the proposed community improvement plan. 

• Motion

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report number BED-2024-04-10 prepared by Michelle Goetz, Manager of Strategic Initiatives;

  AND Subject to a review of submissions arising from the public meeting:

  THAT Council supports in principle the 2024 Community Improvement Plan as presented;

  AND FURTHER authorizes the appropriate By-laws to come forward.

  THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives for information all items listed in Section 5.

  THAT the "Confirmatory MONTH (2)" By-law be deemed to be read a first, second, third time and finally passed and numbered as By-law No. 2024-36
