The Clerk noted that there was a small protest outside the Ripley Huron Community Centre on Saturday morning October 2, 2021, at 8:30 am, it was dispersed after 10 am, the provincial liaison task force was aware and present at the protest with one heated discussion.
Council acknowledged all staff involved with the challenges in the enforcement of the provincial regulations related to proof of identification and proof of vaccination at point of entry the past week, especially Community Services staff. The Mayor noted they are to be commended for all they have encountered in conducting themselves in a professional manner.
