The Meeting of the Committee of Adjustment of The Corporation of the Township of Huron-Kinloss will be called to Order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday,  May 8, 2023 in the Council Chambers.

  • THAT the minutes of the Committee of Adjustment meeting of December 12, 2022 be adopted as presented. 

The purpose of this application is for a minor variance to permit a reduced frontage of +/- 17 metres from the 30 metre requirement. The minor variance will facilitate the creation and sale of a half acre parcel for light industrial use.
The subject property will be created from the existing parcel by the Township of Huron-Kinloss using their municipal powers for lot creation without consent from the County of Bruce.
The subject property is to be located within the Ripley Industrial Park, on the east end of the Village of Ripley, south of Bruce Road 6. The subject property will be surrounded by Industrial uses

The Planner will explain the report and recommendation. Any comments received from Agencies and the Public received by the time of writing the report are in the written report.

Questions and Clarifications from Committee of Adjustment

The Members of Committee of Adjustment may question and make clarification on the application. 

  • THAT the Committee of Adjustment approve minor variance A-2023-019 for a minor variance from Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2018-98, to permit a reduced frontage of +/- 17 metres from the 30 metre requirement;

    AND FURTHER THAT this approval be subject to the following conditions; 

    1) That any future development on the property conforms to the provisions of the Zoning By-law;

    2) That the decision applies only to the proposed development as indicated on Schedule 'A' attached to and forming part of the decision;

    3) The lot frontage of the subject property shall be no less than 17 m.
