Call to Order
 

Deputy Mayor Murray called the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council Special Meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Special Meeting is for Council to participate in a visioning workshop regarding servicing and settlement options of a future Master Plan Study. Lisa Courtney and Matt Pearson from BM Ross will facilitate the workshop.

Delegations
 

Lisa Courtney and Matt Pearson from BM Ross explained the purpose of the meeting is for a brainstorming session as a continuation from the Growth and Servicing Master Plan Report that was presented to Council in January 2020. 

Ms. Courtney explained that the first step is to proactively plan for future growth in a manner that is well-informed by existing conditions, opportunities and constraints.   Items identified included, current land use, land inventories, occupancy, capacity, community form and function and development constraint analysis. 

Council and senior staff broke into two groups for a brainstorming session. Following the breakout session the two groups reviewed the brainstorming notes regarding where the group sees the future for development in Lucknow, Ripley and the Lakeshore.  

The next step is for the information be compiled by BM Ross for the framework on the approach and timelines for a Growth and Servicing Master Plan for the Township of Huron-Kinloss.
