Chair Jim Hanna called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

    THAT the Lucknow and District Fire Board hereby adopts the January 20, 2022 Board minutes as presented.

The Board commended the training that has been completed for both departments and the succession planning that has taken place.

Chief Cleave commented on the replacement of fire equipment and that the new equipment will be on display on May 30,2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Training Centre. The Board is invited to attend.

    That the Lucknow & District Fire Board hereby receives for information Report Number LDFB-2022-05-4 prepared by Chris Cleave, Fire Chief

Chief Cleave noted two new business items. The first item was a fire safety inspection issue at a property located Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh. The O.P.P have asked for assistance with the property and an order against the property will be forth coming due to electrical issues and provincial regulations not being met. Enforcement actions will be taking place on this property. 

The second item from Chief Cleave highlighted that the grant funding from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) for a growth study with impacts on the Township of Huron-Kinloss Emergency Services and communities will include both the Lucknow and District Fire Department and the Ripley-Huron Fire Department. The report will be shared once complete.
