The Committee of the Whole Meeting of the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Huron-Kinloss will be called to Order at 7:00 p.m. on July 3, 2024  in the Council Chambers.

Lisa Courtney on behalf of the Ripley Reunion Committee will address Council with regards to waiving fees for the Ripley Reunion to be held on the August 2025 long weekend.

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives Report CS-2024-07-29 prepared by Mike Fair, Director of Community Services;

    AND FURTHER that Staff be directed to waive all future hall rental fees for the 2025 Ripley Reunion Committee. 

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receive Report BLD-2024-06-15 as prepared by Staff;

    AND FURTHER THAT a By-law authorizing staff to sign the agreement be brought forward to the July 15, 2024 Council meeting.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole receives Report BLD-2024-07-16, prepared by Michele Barr, Deputy Chief Building Official.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report BLE-2024-07-10, as prepared by Heather Falconer, Municipal By-Law Enforcement Officer.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report FIR-2024-07-15 prepared by Jeff Bradley, Fire Chief.

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report FIR-2024-07-16 prepared by Mel Moulton, Emergency Services/ Health & Safety Coordinator-CEMC.

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report DRA-2024-07-02 prepared by Ken McCallum, Drainage Superintendent.

  • Motion

    That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives Report TRE-2024-07-42 as prepared by Staff;

    And further that a by-law authorizing staff to sign the agreement be brought forward to the July 15, 2024 Council meeting.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives Report CS-2024-07-27 prepared by Mike Fair, Director of Community Services;

    AND FURTHER that the current tree preservation by-law be affirmed and Staff be directed to review the by-law periodically and propose changes as required.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives Report PW2024-07-31 prepared by John Yungblut, Director of Public Works;

    AND FURTHER approves supporting the 2024 Lucknow’s Music in the Fields event as described in this report.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report PW-2024-07-30 prepared by John Yungblut, Director of Public Works.

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report PW2024-07-32 prepared by John Yungblut, Director of Public Works;

    AND FURTHER approves the 2024 Kincardine Drinking Water Quality Management System Huronville Operational Plan.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report BED-2024-07-13, prepared by Michelle Goetz, Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Amy Irwin, Economic Development Officer.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report CAO-2024-07-23, prepared by Michelle Goetz, Manager of Strategic Initiatives.

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information Report CLK-2024-07-28 prepared by Kelly Lush, Deputy Clerk;

    AND FURTHER THAT the Committee of the Whole support the following resolutions: #

    AND FURTHER direct Staff to distribute as they see fit.

     

  • Motion

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Committee of the Whole hereby receives for information all items listed in Section 5.0.

Peter Postma with B.M Ross has provided the May 2024 Pine River Water Monitoring Reports. He noted that similar to last month's results, PR11 and PR17 phosphorus had very high spikes and notably PR1 goes back down which is downstream from PR17.
