Call to Order

In the absence of the Chair, Secretary Emily Dance called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

EF2 Tornado Event – Sept 7, 2021 LDFB-2021-09-13

A discussion was held regarding adding supplementary chain saws for the crew and the chain saw training requirements for firefighters.  

The Board requested Fire Chief Cleave thank the firefighters for their continued sacrifice in assisting the public with the emergencies that have seem to become more frequent with the change in weather patterns.

  That the Lucknow and District Fire Board hereby receives for information Report Number LDFB2021-09-13 prepared by Chris Cleave, Fire Chief AND FURTHER authorize the purchase of supplementary chain saws and chainsaw training for firefighters in the current budget.

New Business

It was noted that the board members have received positive feedback from the Lucknow firefighters on the new management system and the changes to the composition of the fire stations.  Member Glen McNeil noted on behalf of ACW they are very happy with the way the transition is has progressed sucessfuly. 

Fire Chief Cleave thanked the members for the support and acknowledged that his team of Captains, training officer and firefighters have all embraced the management shift and have supported the transisiton.
