Chapman noted that the new term insurance would be anticipating an overall 5% rate reduction for a 12 month term renewing in June. Chapman stated that in partnering with Intact, there are value added services including contract review, risk management, inspections, building evaluations, carrying costs, educational training and information sessions, and sponsorship. The Committee asked if the Insurance Broker can provide advice or guidance on whether to litigate or go with insurance. McDonagh confirmed that they can indeed provide advice and work through situations with the Township. The Director of Community Services noted that it is in the Parks and Trails master plan to have the playground equipment updated in the future. It is not being done at this time. The report on the agenda notes all the work to take place in this phase. A Committee member questioned if there is a fee for residents to have private drain connections.
