This resolution was brought forward from the February 1, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby supports the Township of South West Oxford in their concerns with speeding on Provincial, County and municipal roads and in their request to be able to use Automatic Speed Enforcement (photo radar) to help eliminate speeding and increase safety without the excess cost of Provincial Policing and FURTHER direct staff to forward a copy of this resolution to the Premier, AMO and all Ontario municipalities.

This resolution was brought forward from the February 1, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting.

THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby supports the the Municipality of West Grey in their request that the Provincial government to repeal Bill 229 Schedule 8 that amends the Crown Forest Sustainability Act in order to exempt all forestry operations from mandatory consideration of species at risk protection and recovery as mandated by the Endangered Species Act and removes the ability to issue orders in circumstances when there is imminent danger to a species at risk AND FURTHER directs staff to forward a copy of this resolution to Premier Ford, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, MPP Bill Walker, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, MPP Ian Arthur, NDP Environment Critic, Grey County Council, Ontario municipalities, Association of Municipalities of Ontario, Conservation Ontario, Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority and Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.

Correspondence from the Point Clark Beach Association requesting that the Point Clark Brush depot continue for the summer of 2021.

Staff recommends that Council defer this letter to the February 26, 2021 budget meeting where the Director of Public Works will bring forward a staff report.

Council members will be given an opportunity to provide an update on Board and Committee meetings.
