    That the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby approves Report CLK2021-09-113 prepared by Kelly Lush, Deputy Clerk AND grants an exemption to the Noise By-Law for the Private Property owner at 37 Huron Street, Ripley from 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021, subject to all COVID protocols and regulations being followed AND FURTHER THAT the exemption may be revoked due to the COVID-19 pandemic AND FURTHER THAT no exemption be granted to allow for fireworks.

    THAT the Township of Huron-Kinloss Council hereby receives the letter of Andrew Faulkner and Tony and Adrienne Pollock regarding the COVID-19 pandemic response AND directs the Clerk to respond by explaining that the Township of Huron-Kinloss is mandated by the province to ensure that the Township meets all the requirements outlined in the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act and all associated regulations and directives by Public Health.

Council requested staff provide information on policies from local hospitals dealing with proof of vaccines and admittance for visitors at a future meeting. 

Councillor McGugan reported that he went for a tour of decommissioned Gorrie Dam with Maitland Valley Conservation Authority.  The decommissioning was controversial and MVCA did a good job at working with the community to smooth the process and he understands that the community is satisfied with the results.  The site is now cleaned up and they did a good job.
